Taconic’s 80th Anniversary Reunion is rapidly approaching.
June 3 – 5, 2011
Arrivals start on Friday evening, after dinner, and continue on Saturday morning. Friday night, we socialize, greet old friends and have evening snack.
On Saturday, Program Director Steve Lehrer will lead a 5:30 am bike ride for anyone who’d like to join him. For the rest of us, we wake up to the bell, have breakfast and go to the Playhouse for Sing and Announcements (Nora, are you ready for us??). Then, we have activities all morning, lunch, rest, ice cream and more activities in the afternoon. In the evening, there’s dinner, then back to the Playhouse for a Talent Show, ending with the Balladeers (led as always by Johnny Miller!), followed by a dance (Salty Dog Rag, anyone?).
Sunday includes wake-up, breakfast, Sing/Announcements, activities and lunch.
The initial report from the camp office (two weeks ago) shows a wide range of RSVPs, with representation from the Teenagers of 1955, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989, 2002, 2003 and 2004. 1986 and 1987 are winning for most responses so far. Where are all the Teenagers from the 1990s??
Please let us know if you have any questions, and send in your registration ASAP! We need to hear from you by Memorial Day, at the latest.
Don’t forget, if you’re staying in a bunk, bring a pillow, sheets/blanket or sleeping bag, a towel, etc.
